Interv. Radiology
Interventional Radiology is increasingly used as a less invasive alternative to surgery, especially pain therapy and oncology. The advantage is, that it is about minimal-invasive procedures, which are often more precise and secure, as injections, for instance, can be applied and monitored with a computed tomography. Interventional radiology receives more and more relevance in medicine, such as the extended possibilities in chemotherapy. Radiologists are more and more using interventional methods and therefore, unnecessary procedures can be reduced.
